Walter "Killer" Kowalski: 1926 - 2008
The News - Wrestling  |   Written by Adam Wilcox   |   Sunday, 31 August 2008
Wrestling legend and all-time great heel Walter “Killer” Kowalski passed away early Saturday morning at the age of 81.

Kowalski had been removed from life support following a massive heart attack on August 8th, but continued to persevere before finally succumbing to his fatal condition after a near two-week battle.

The “Killer” is widely renowned as one of wrestling’s greatest villains and initially gained notoriety in 1952 after accidentally tearing off part of babyface grappler Yukon Eric’s during a match in Montreal, Quebec. Kowalski opened a wrestling school following his retirement in 1977 and trained future stars such as Big John Studd, current WWE Champion Triple H, Frankie Kazarian, Perry Saturn, Kenny Dykstra, and others.

Condolences to Kowalski’s family and friends.
