Women Not Allowed To Watch WWE Tour Of Saudi Arabia

The WWE travels to Saudi Arabia with three events starting today and running through Saturday. The tour is headlined by John Cena and Randy Orton.

StarTribune.com wrote a piece detailing that women will not be allowed to enter the arena to watch the WWE action. The article states that on the Ticketmaster website that the matches “are for males only”.

Watch UFC On Fox 11 Pre-Fight Press Conference Starting at 1 PM ET

The UFC returns to Fox on Saturday with UFC on Fox 11 from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. The main event features two of the top three ranked heavyweights in the UFC as Fabricio Werdum battles Travis Browne. The co-feature has Miesha Tate battling Liz Carmouche in women’s bantamweight action.

The pre-fight press conference takes place at 1 PM ET from the home of former NBA star Shaquille O’Neil. Taking part in today’s presser include UFC President Dana White, Browne, Werdum, Tate, Carmouche, lightweights Donald Cerrone and Edson Barboza and welterweights Brad Tavares and Yoel Romero.

Ring Of Honor To Be On LIVE Pay-Per-View, Will Air On All Major Carriers

Ring of Honor had promising a big announcement for about the last week or so. No one knew what the announcement would be and now we know. The company announced a short time ago they will be on LIVE pay-per-view starting with their “Best in the World 2014″ show on Sunday, June 22nd in Nashville, Tennessee.

Baltimore, MD (April 17, 2014) – Ring of Honor Wrestling Entertainment, LLC (“ROH”) today announced that they have agreed to deliver live Pay-Per-View programming starting with Ring of Honor: Best in the World 2014 emanating from Nashville, TN on Sunday June 22nd at the Nashville Fairgrounds.

For the first time ever, fans will be able to experience a marquee ROH event live at home via all major cable or satellite providers and witness next generation wrestling innovation, epic rivalries and world championship bouts.

Ring of Honor: Best in the World 2014 will feature the likes of: Matt Hardy, Kevin Steen, the Briscoe Brothers, ROH World Champion Adam Cole, “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin, Jay Lethal, as well as, Playboy cover girl and the first woman of ROH, Maria Kanellis and other elite wrestlers from ROH.

The start time for Ring of Honor: Best in the World 2014 is 8 p.m. EST / 5 p.m. PST with a runtime of 3 hours. The event is rated TV-14 and will be available in High-Definition. The suggested retail price is $24.95 (SD).

In conjunction with ROH’s debut on live Pay-Per-View, ROH has moved Ring of Honor: Best in the World 2014 from Saturday night to Sunday. Customers that have already purchased tickets for Saturday can use those tickets for Sunday. If unable to attend, ROH will provide a refund. Darren Young Suffers A Torn ACL

WWE.com is reporting that Darren Young has suffered a torn ACL in his left knee and will be out four to six months. Young suffered the injury over weekend working a live event. Young made a statement earlier today on Twitter.

I tried 2 tough it out but Doc informed me I tore my ACL&surgerywas needed.Surgerywas a success now its time 2 live up 2 #nodaysoff #rehab

Triple H: “Daniel Bryan Wants To Be Treated As An A+ player, He’s Going To Get His Wish”

At the end of Monday’s WWE Raw, Triple H reformed Evolution with Randy Orton and Batista. The trio closed the show by taking out The Shield. The WWE COO returned this week to do his weekly video interview with Michael Cole.

WWE Extreme Rules takes place on Sunday, May 4th from the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The WWE has slowly started announcing matched for the event. Here is the current for the show.

WWE Monday Night Raw Rating Slips Slightly, Up From A Year Ago

WWE Monday Night Raw took place this week in Birmingham, Alabama. The rating for the show is in and the show scored a 3.3 with an average of 4.77 million viewers, which is slightly down from last week’s post-WrestleMania rating of 3.7 with an average of 5.15 million viewers.

The first hour of the show averaged 4.81 million viewers, which featured the opening tribute video and ten bell salute of The Ultimate Warrior. The second hour of the show averaged 4.83 million viewers, which featured The Usos vs Randy Orton and Batista. The final hour of the show averaged 4.67 million viewers, which featured the John Cena/Bray Wyatt segment and the show closing angle involving the return of Evolution beating down The Shield.

Good news for the WWE is the rating is up from last year’s Raw rating following the post-Mania show, which scored a 3.08 rating with an average of 4.15 million viewers.
