Randy Orton vs Big Show For The WWE Title At Survivor Series

big-show

It was announced last night on WWE Monday Night Raw that Randy Orton will defend the WWE title against Big Show at Survivor Series.

The match was made when Triple H and Stephanie McMahon came to the ring to meet Big Show to resolve the lawsuit that was filed by Show. The WWE Board of Directors had McMahon and Triple H to resolve and come to settlement with Big Show.

They gave Show his job back, but he wanted a title shot at Orton at Survivor Series and Triple H reluctantly gave him the opportunity.

Survivor Series takes on place on Sunday, November 24 from TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The only other match confirmed for the event is John Cena defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Alberto Del Rio.

WWE Smackdown Reaction and Review – September 13th, 2013

Daniel Bryan Randy Orton No LockOpening segment featuring Big Show, Triple H, and The Shield was excellent. Big Show’s fake apology letter cracked me up, and Triple H coming out to confront show about his actions made sense. But I was afraid that was going to be all there was to it. Fortunately, The Shield came out to liven things up, and Big Show entered an entertaining, hardcore, five-minute brawl with the trio. The fans in attendance were digging it, I was digging it, and it kicked things off in a hot way. [Read more...]

raw christian daniel bryanShow opening last night was great wrestling television. Edge came out and gave the fans what they wanted. He put over Daniel Bryan, criticized Randy Orton, and gave Triple H even more heat. This is how you leverage a legend to create new stars. Plus, Edge was smart to bring up all the stars that Triple H has been wrong on in the past – I bet “smart marks” were eating that up. It’s also worth noting that Randy Orton and Triple H look fantastic side-by-side. They’re the kind of power-heel-duo that the WWE has been without for too long. [Read more...]

WWE Smackdown Reaction and Review – September 6th, 2013

Randy Orton over Daniel BryanThe opening segment was a mixed bag. On the one hand, I thought Triple H was very entertaining, and liked the “town meeting” set-up for a televised wrestling show. It’s the exact kind of thing a narcissistic heel would do. Also, having Hunter describe himself as the COO of WWE and, therefore, “the WWE itself,” was a great way to draw heat. Unfortunately, some of the booking just didn’t make sense. [Read more...]

WWE RAW Reaction and Review – September 2nd, 2013

Make sure to check out the WWE Raw Rundown for everything that happened on last night’s show. Also, listen to Brian and Steve discuss their opinions on the latest Between the Ropes podcast!

daniel bryan yesRaw opened solid again last night. The deeper Triple H digs into his villainous power-trip authority figure, the better he gets. We can complain about egos and self-promotion all we want, but who else in the company could play this role to such perfection? Fans absolutely hate him, and not just because they’re supposed to. They hate him for being so misguided. They hate him because he’s believable. [Read more...]
