Conor McGregor Discusses When He Will Return, Fighting Diego Sanchez, Miesha Tate/Ronda Rousey Tweet And More

UFC featherweight Conor McGregor was last seen in action on UFC Fight Night 26 in August when he defeated Max Holloway by unanimous decision. After the fight a lot of hype was surrounding McGregor. People were saying he could be the next big thing in the UFC and could be the first ever European champion in the organization.

Then tragedy happened as McGregor had stated after the Holloway fight that he hurt his knee, but didn’t think it was too bad. It was announced that McGregor tore his ACL and would be sidelined indefinitely.

McGregor is in England for the UFC Fight Night 30 event tomorrow night in Manchester. “Notorious” did a media scrum earlier today and discussed how his rehab is going, when he thinks he will return, why he wants to fight Diego Sanchez at lightweight, his controversial tweet regarding Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey and more.

UFC News: Conor McGregor Out Around 10 Months With A Torn ACL

The hype train surrounding Conor McGregor will be derailed for awhile. UFC President Dana White told Fox Sports Live that a MRI McGregor took today revealed a torn ACL, posterior horn meniscal tear and a MCL strain. White said that McGregor would out for about nine to ten months.

McGregor fought this past Saturday at UFC Fight Night 26 defeating Max Holloway by unanimous decision. The Irishman stated after the fight that he felt a pop in his knee during the fight and in the proceeding days had thought he had suffered an LCL injury.

The surging featherweight in recent days had made inflammatory comments towards top contenders in the featherweight division including UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo.

We wish McGregor the best in his recovery.
