Breaking News: Jim Ross Retires From WWE

jrWWE.com is reporting that Jim Ross has announced his retirement.  After a 20 year career with the WWE, he has decided to focus more on his “personal business endeavors.”

‘Good Ol JR’ got his start in the business as a referee, working for NWA.  From there, he became a play-by-play announcer for Mid-South territory, rejoined with NWA in the same role, and stayed in the company until it became WCW.  His tenure with WCW, and thus Eric Bischoff, was tumultuous to say the least. The AJ Styles Dilemma

styles lone wolf winBelieve it or not, AJ Styles is a big deal. He was the first contracted TNA wrestler to land at #1 on Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s annual PWI 500 list. He’s a five-time (five-time! five-time! five-time! five-time!) World Heavyweight Champion. And he’s the only wrestler to have held every male championship owned and sanction by TNA during the company’s tenure.

TNA News: Eric Bischoff Shoots Down Hulk Hogan/2K Sports Deal, Rips Wrestling Websites

As we stated earlier in today’s podcast, their is backstage heat in TNA with Hulk Hogan for agreeing to a deal with 2K Sports to appear in the new WWE 2K14 video game. Eric Bischoff who is a close friend of Hogan, came out swinging earlier today on Twitter shooting down these reports.

 

 

 

If that wasn’t enough, Bischoff decided to criticize the wrestling websites reporting the heat with Hogan and people in TNA.

Some of the Fallout from #AskDixie

In light of the recent criticisms that TNA has faced follow cutbacks and perceived money issues with the company, President Dixie Carter has asked for fans to send her questions on Twitter for her to answer, using the hashtag #AskDixie.

While all of her intentions were good, but it really isn’t a great idea to allow all of the general public to take part in a Q&A session for the world to see.
