Lyoto Machida vs Gegard Mousasi To Headline UFC Event In Brazil On February 8

For those thinking Lyoto Machida was going to get a shot at the UFC middleweight title in his next fight were wrong. Globo.com

The event will take place at the Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil. The card will be a UFC Fight Night event and will be tlelvised on Fox Sports 2.

Machida made his middleweight debut last week at UFC Fight Night 30 when he knocked out Mark Munoz in the first round.

Mousasi last fought in April when he made his UFC debut when he defeated Ilir Latifi at an event in Sweden. The former Strikeforce champion is 6-0-1 in his last seven fights and hasn't fought at middleweight since 2008.
