Ultimate Warrior Headlines Unique WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony

warriorhofMany people wondered what exactly The Ultimate Warrior would say on his long-awaited return to the WWE.  And he did not disappoint headlining the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2014 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, LA as one of seven new members.

After becoming one of the top stars in the WWE during the late 80’s and 90’s, Warrior — which is his real name after changing it from his given name Jim Hellwig years ago — and the company parted ways in 1996.  Since that time, both sides had been very outspoken about one another especially after the WWE released the DVD “The Self-Destruction of The Ultimate Warrior”, a scathing portrayal of the man behind the character.

Lineup for WWE Hall of Fame Class 2014

Coming up on Saturday night, the WWE will induct seven more members into its Hall of Fame. It’s an interesting lineup to say the least with plenty of characters and even controversial choices. The entire ceremony will air live on the WWE Network beginning at 9pm Eastern.

* The Ultimate Warrior

An iconic character from the 80′s known best by fans for his wild entrances running to the ring and his even wilder, nonsensical promos that he would scream out. Warrior’s big moment was defeated Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania VI which many people thought would be the passing of the guard but it was not and Hogan would return to take the top spot in the company. He had plenty of detractors from his peers for his style, especially since was not a very good wrestler and his erratic personality. That’s likely why Linda McMahon will be introducing him and not a fellow wrestler.

Diamond Dallas Page To Induct Jake Roberts Into The WWE Hall Of Fame

jake roberts

It was announced a few weeks ago that Jake Roberts will be inducted into this years WWE Hall of Fame. As of this writing, The Ultimate Warrior and Lita will be joining Roberts in this years class.

The question was, who would induct Roberts? We got that answer today as Diamond Dallas Page will induct his mentor.

ATLANTA, Feb. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — There will be plenty of action outside the ring this spring at WWE’s Wrestlemania- thanks to 3-time WCW Professional Wrestling Champion Diamond Dallas Page. Page will be bringing his revolutionary fitness system DDP YOGA to New Orleans April 4th and 5th, to coincide with the biggest weekend in wrestling.

Page will be hosting his intensive DDP YOGA workshops at the Holiday Inn New Orleans Westbank, where attendees will learn how they can tap into the power of dynamic resistance and take control of their health – and their lives.

As a former pro wrestling superstar, Page has reinvented himself as a maverick fitness guru, with the creation of his own workout system that combines dynamic resistance, flexibility, and cardio. DDP YOGA has become hugely popular among current and past athletes, as well as regular people who are seeking to overhaul their health and fitness with a low-impact but amazingly effective calorie-blasting, muscle-building workout.

WWE Wrestlemania will be a particularly poignant weekend for Page, as he will also be making a special appearance in support of his friend and fellow wrestling star/ former mentor, Jake “The Snake” Roberts. Roberts will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 5 and Page will introduce Roberts, who has become one of the most inspiring DDP YOGA success stories to date.

Over the past year, Page has revitalized Roberts’ health and rescued him from the throes of addiction, helping Roberts resurrect his career and reclaim his life through DDP YOGA. With intensive coaching and round-the-clock care, Roberts – who been living with Page – has maintained sobriety and is now in the best shape of his life.

Roberts has said that if he could regain his health through DDP YOGA, anyone can: the program empowers people at any fitness level to take charge of their health and take control of their lives through fitness. At the DDP YOGA workshops, Page will share the inspiring story behind DDP YOGA, the secret of dynamic resistance, active breathing techniques, correct alignment, and a special Q&A on Owning Your Life. There will also be a raffle drawing for DDP YOGA prizes.

The New Orleans workshops will take place Friday (April 4th) 5:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday (April 5th) 11:00am-2:00pm. Entry fee for each 3-hour session is $99.99 and both are open to all levels. Hotel guests at the Holiday Inn New Orleans Westbank will receive 10% off entry fee and 10% off their purchase of the Max Pack DVD set.

Space is limited, so attendees should register for the DDP Workshops early at: http://www.ddpyogaworkshops.com/events/holiday-inn-new-orleans-westbank-hosts-ddp-yoga-wrestlemania-workshop-with-ddp/.

WWE Raw Reaction 1/6/2014: “We’ve Got Two Words For Ya”

Ric Flair Raw Old school

Hey, whadoyaknow, Raw went Old School last night in an attempt to compete with the NCAA BCS Championship. Was it entertaining? Sure. Compelling? Unfortunately not. Worth watching over the fantastic game between Auburn and Florida State? Not in the slightest. But hey, that’s what DVRs are for… and if you actually tuned in to RAW live, at least it was over in time for FSU’s fantastic come back in the last 20 minutes (suck it, SEC!). [Read more...]

Over a year ago, Roberts enlisted the help of his good friend, fellow WWE legend Diamond Dallas Page. Roberts has gotten back on the right path since he has gotten the help from Page.

Roberts had stated that his goal was to get back to the WWE and compete at this year’s Royal Rumble. We don’t have to wait that long.

After the main event of last night’s WWE Monday Night that featured Roman Reigns defeating CM Punk. The Shield then beat down Punk and then Roberts music hit and he came out with the snake in a bag. The New Age Outlaws and Punk beat up Reigns and Seth Rollins, which left Dean Ambrose in the ring. Roberts put the snake on a lying Ambrose.

Jake Roberts Wants To Buy TNA

jake roberts

WWE legend Jake “The Snake” Roberts talked recently with Steve and the Scum on WGD Weekly. Roberts discussed his interest in wanting to buy TNA and how he run the company. You can watch the complete interview here.

Wanting to But TNA: “I want to run an Indigogo and raise the money to buy that son of a bitch and do it right. Not to be in competition with Vince (McMahon), but to do wrestling the way I liked it. Maybe it will happen, maybe it won’t. But now I hear the guy from Smashing Pumpkins is snatching it, so maybe I should just buy the band Smashing Pumpkins and go on with my life and start singing.”

How he would run the company: “I got all the thoughts, bro. There ain’t nobody better at that. I would make it simple, there would be good guys and there would be bad guys. There wouldn’t be no bull**** and there wouldn’t be twenty minute interviews. We would actually, ‘rassle, the world needs it man.”
