RAW logo black

We are five days away from WWE Wrestlemania 30 from the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. That is up from last week’s 3.07 rating with an average of 4.272 million viewers.

The first hour of the showed averaged 4.23 million viewers that featured the opening segment with Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker. The second hour averaged 4.60 million viewers and featured the Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Randy Orton and Batista segment along with John Cena attacking the Wyatt Family. That match also featured Stephanie McMahon and Triple H commentary and interference from Daniel Bryan.

The Good, The Bad And The Dirty From Last Night’s WWE Monday Night Raw

Photo from WWE.com

Last night’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw took place in Washington D.C. and was the final Raw before WrestleMania 30 on Sunday in New Orleans. We give you what was the good, the bad and the dirty from last night’s show.

The Good

1) John Cena Promo: It was a good night for Cena. The first time we seen him out was when he stood in the ring with the Wyatt’s in Duke “The Dumpster” Droese garb and a sheep’s mask after Bray Wyatt’s match with R-Truth. Cena then cut an emotional backstage interview with Renee Young telling her that,”You will see fire, you will see hell, and you will see rage and John Cena will be a monster.” Behind the nonsensical Jimmy Buffet reference a few weeks back, Cena has cut some very good promos heading into Wrestlemania. Wish we would see more consistent promos from Cena in every program.

2) Opening Segment: I was very down on what WWE did last week making Brock Lesnar look weak again with The Undertaker. It was a very smart move by WWE opening with Taker and Lesnar to combat the series finale of “How I Met Your Mother”. Liked when Taker used the line, “there are three things that can’t be beat: Death, Taxes, and The Streak. That line made it seem how important The Streak is to everyday life. Paul Heyman was his usual spot on self comparing Lesnar winning this Sunday to Hulk Hogan defeating Andre the Giant at Wrestlemania 3. Liked how Lesnar walked around the ring and thinking about whether to get into the ring with Taker. Was smart for Heyman to distract Taker with Lesnar giving a vicious clothesline and the F5. Only bad thing was I wish Lesnar would have done another F5, but this segment left fans with some doubt of whether The Streak will continue on after Wrestlemania.

The Bad

3) Piper’s Pit: Roddy Piper felt that he should be on Wrestlemania 30 and do a Piper’s Pit with Hulk Hogan due to the happenings at Wrestlemania 1. Well, thankfully we got this last night. Piper looked lost a couple times in promoting the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. The eye gouge was awful and unnecessary. This was a waste of time and their could have been a better way to promote the Battle Royal.

4) Big E vs Alberto Del Rio: This doesn’t get a bad due to the match, as it wasn’t horrible. This was bad to the finish. The logic behind the Intercontinental champion losing a non-title match to a guy who hasn’t won a lot of matches in awhile. Big E should be defending the title instead of being in the Battle Royal. All titles should be defended at Wrestlemania as you can always throw guys in the Battle Royal to fill the ring.

The Dirty

5) Closing Segment: This a good dirty. Behind a few things, this was looking like a dreadful show heading into the final segment of the show. The Batista vs Randy Orton match was a good match considering what we have seen from Batista since his return in January. Liked how Bryan came out through the crowd and attacked Triple H. It was good to see Bryan get the better of Batista and Orton as well as it gives the fans hope that he will walk out of Wrestlemania with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Thought it was a smart move by WWE to keep Bryan off of last week’s Raw as it meant more last night as Bryan got the biggest pop of the show. Will Bryan win the title on Sunday? We will find out.

The Good, The Bad And The Dirty From WWE Monday Night Raw

wwe logo

The second to last of edition of WWE Monday Night Raw before WrestleMania 30 took place last night in Brooklyn, New York. Highlights of the show included a sitdown interview with Triple H, the opening segment with Stephanie McMahon, Batista, and Randy Orton and a John Cena vs Luke Harper match. Starting with this article, we will be giving you the good, the bad and the dirty from each edition of Raw.

The Good

1) John Cena vs Luke Harper: The more I see Luke Harper, the more he impresses me. He has a style mixed with Barry Windham and Bruiser Brody. Cena and Harper had a 15 minute plus match and showed that Cena can work with guys not named Bryan, Orton and Punk. You can tell that Cena is still injured, but is still giving his all and you can tell in this match. The ending was well done to where both guys didn’t have to take the pinfall. Was also good to see Bray Wyatt get the upperhand on Cena once again and create more doubt going into their match at WrestleMania 30.

2) Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins vs The Real Americans: The match started really slow, but really picked up in the last six-seven minutes when Ambrose started to make his comeback. The more I see Rollins, the more I like him as he is finally getting to show the great ring work he possesses. Rollins is very fluid in the moves that he does and gets the crowd behind him in the process. It is good to see WWE keep The Shield together and as babyface with as a lot of money can be made with them on the other side of the spectrum. The only bad thing was Cesaro taking the pin, but that can be forgotten about by the time Smackdown rolls around.

The Bad

1) Opening Segment featuring Stephanie McMahon, Batista and Randy Orton: The segment started good with Stephanie McMahon addressing the fact that Daniel Bryan wouldn’t be on the show due to last week’s beatdown by Triple H. That changed quickly when Orton came out and cut a bland promo about how he respects The Authority and doesn’t disagree with anything she said, but then says he will take no prisoners if HHH gets by Bryan at WrestleMania. Batista was no better when he came out especially when his microphone went and did a mic check. Batista is really missing something with his promos as he can’t pronounce WWE and is lacking emotion when he is out there. Orton taking another spear does nothing to believe that he has any chance of walking out of Mania with the title. Let’s be thankful that this match isn’t a singles match as the WWE would be in a lot of trouble.

2) Titus O’Neil vs The Big Show: Very confusing as to why this match was even happening. If WWE was putting on the match because Show was facing Bray Wyatt in the main event of Friday Nigh Smackdown, then it could have just been advertised and left at that.

The Dirty

1) Final Segment featuring Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker: This segment did nothing to get me interested whatsoever and I don’t fault Paul Heyman. He has done everything in his power to get the match over, but he can only do so much. You would think that since Lesnar and Taker haven’t been in the same ring together in almost a month, you would think Lesnar would get his revenge for Taker putting him through a table. But we got druids bringing out a casket and Lesnar kicking at it a few times before it opened and Taker rose from it. Made no sense whatsoever for Taker to one up Lesnar once again as it seems like the WWE is trying to get by on the fact that the old school and hardcore fans will want to see the match. WWE better do something next week to get the fans more interested or they will be in a lot of trouble heading into a match that you should have been easy to book.

What To Expect On Tonight’s WWE Monday Night Raw

RAW logo black

Tonight’s WWE Monday Night Raw takes place from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Last week’s Raw ended with Triple H brutally attacking Daniel Bryan and left him laying.

The Road to Wrestlemania 30 will continue as we are 13 days away from the biggest wrestling show of the year. Bryan is expected on tonight’s show. One would expect him to address what happened at the end of last week’s show. The best bet would be for Bryan to get beat down again to draw more heat to HHH and give Bryan more sympathy heading into their match at Wrestlemania.

It will be interesting to see what WWE does with Randy Orton and Batista tonight. Batista has been kept strong, while Orton has been looking like a patsy taking pinfalls to Bryan two out of the last three weeks. Orton has to look strong tonight to give the impression that he can walk out of Wrestlemania with the title and WWE has to make Batista look vulnerable at some point as he has been protected from that standpoint.

The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar are advertised to be on tonight’s show. Lesnar hasn’t been on Raw in three weeks and Undertaker hasn’t been on the show in two weeks. Lesnar has to look strong tonight because the last time these two were in the ring together, Lesnar took a chokeslam through a table.

Also advertised for the show is the guest host of Wrestlemania, Hulk Hogan. Also action movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger will be on the show to promote his new movie, “Sabotage”.

WWE Monday Night Raw Down 300,000 Viewers From Last Week

wwe logo

We are three weeks away from WrestleMania 30 and it seems like the WWE is heading on a downtrend toward the biggest event of the year. Last night’s WWE Monday Night Raw scored a 2.98 rating with an average of 4.07 million viewers. The first hour averaged 4.00 million viewers, hour two averaged 4.17 million viewers and the final hour of the show averaged 4.05 million viewers. That is down from last week’s show, which scored a 3.09 rating with average of 4.37 million viewers. That is down 300,000 viewers from last week.

The first hour of the show featured the opening segment with Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista. The second hour featured the John Cena/Bray Wyatt promo and then the match between WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan. The final hour of the show had The Shield/Kane segment and the show closed with HHH/Bryan promo.

Is the WWE in trouble heading into Wrestlemania or is it a blip on the radar due to the St. Patrick’s Day holiday?

What To Expect On Tonight’s WWE Monday Night Raw

RAW logo black

WWE Monday Night Raw takes place from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. Last Monday’s Raw ended with Daniel Bryan pinning WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton.

We are 20 days away from Wrestlemania 30 at the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. What can we expect on tonight’s edition of Raw as we inch closer to the biggest event of the year?

On last week’s show, Bryan “Occupied Raw” and got his long awaited match with HHH at Wrestlemania, with the caveat of if he defeats “The Game”, he will go onto to the main event of the Wrestlemania 30 to face Orton and Batista. HHH stated that he will address Bryan on the show tonight. Expect some sort of confrontation with the two and possibly an appearance by Shawn Michaels. “The Heartbreak Kid” resides in San Antonio, so maybe we see him confront either guy.

The Undertaker will also be in the house tonight. Paul Heyman has stated that he is in Texas, so expect either separate promos or another confrontation like we saw last week. Brock Lesnar isn’t scheduled for tonight’s show as he will be on the show the last two weeks prior to Wrestlemania.

Orton and Batista will also be in the house as well. Would expect them to get involved with each other as Batista speared the champion during the main event tag team match. Or could they unite to try and take out Bryan? Could see both scenarios playing out to create more intrigue for the main event of Wrestlemania as both guys need to generate more of a reaction for themselves heading into the big show in about three weeks.

Triple H Stiffs Michael Cole In Their Weekly Sit Down Interview

)

It was made official on this past Monday’s WWE Raw that former WWE champion Triple H will battle another former WWE champion in Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 30. The match was made official when Bryan occupied Raw and held the show hostage until he got his match with HHH. If Bryan wins, then he will be inserted into the main event for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship as Randy Orton defends against Batista.

Every week, “The Game” does a sit a weekly sit down video interview with WWE announcer Michael Cole. Cole went over what happened on Raw while waiting for HHH. The WWE COO ended up no showing the interview and Cole read an email saying that HHH will address what happened on Raw on Friday Night Smackdown.

Seth Rollins will be in a featured match tonight on WWE Monday Night Raw as a member of The Shield, as the trio will take on the Wyatt Family. Rollins spoke to RedEyeChicago.com and was asked where he sees himself five years from now.

“Five years? I see myself as world champion. If you were in my position and you aren’t saying that, something is wrong with you. I want to be holding a title, beating up John Cena and Randy Orton and headlining pay-per-views. I have the confidence and drive and those goals would be satisfying.”

WWE Raw Reaction 2/24/2014: “Deal With It!”

Wyatt John Cena

Last night’s RAW kicked off big. Hulk Hogan came out, addressed his return, flexed his muscles, and got the crowd pumped. It was perfect. Hulk Hogan is a wrestling icon who looks even bigger standing in front of that large crowd only WWE can deliver. Naming him the guest host of ‘Mania makes sense. It’s great to see the Hulkster come home, and he looks better than he has in quite some time. Whatcha gonna do? [Read more...]

JPOV: Awesome edition of Monday Night RAW. Loved the matches that involved~ Daniel Bryan vs. Kane, Sheamus vs. Christian, and Roman Regins vs. Bray Wyatt. Loved the promo from Daniel Bryan. The low point for me with this Raw was the commentary from JBL. I thought Batista had a better match with Del Rio then they did at the Elimination Chamber. Enjoyed the interaction with The Wyatt Family and John Cena. This show needed more of The Authority. You can’t go wrong with the return of Hulk Hogan just a great moment for the WWE. Of course the last segment right there with Brock Lesnar and Undertaker that was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

How Would You Grade Last Night’s WWE Elimination Chamber PPV?

danielbryanyesshirt

The WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view took place last night. In the main event of the show, Randy Orton retained the WWE world heavyweight championship defeating Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Christian, Sheamus and Cesaro. We also a six-man tag match that was an early candidate for the match of the year between The Wyatt Family and The Shield.

What To Expect Tonight On WWE Monday Night Raw

orton ec

WWE.com has released its preview for tonight’s edition of WWE Raw so here is what you should expect on the show.

Randy Orton walked out of last night’s Elimination Chamber match still the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Orton defeated Daniel Bryan to retain the title thanks to the help of the WWE Director of Operations, Kane. Orton now heads to the WrestleMania 30 main event against Batista. Would assume that we will see a confrontation between the two stars.

Bryan coming off a devastating loss to Orton will be looking for retribution against Kane. Will Bryan get revenge tonight against “The Big Red Machine”? Will be interesting how Bryan is used on the show tonight. Would think we would see a match tonight or somehow gets inserted into the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at Wrestlemania.

We will see the return of former WWE champion Hulk Hogan on the show. What will Hogan’s role on the show be? Would think we will see Hogan give a big boot to a fellow WWE superstar.

John Cena lost his chance at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship when the Wyatt Family attacked Cena, who got pinned by Orton. It will be interesting to see how Cena reacts to losing his opportunity to main event Wrestlemania.

Would also think we will start to get more clarity of the top matches for Wrestlemania. Also it is rumored that Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker will be on the show, so it will be intriguing how they get to the expected between the superstars.

Winner: Still WWE World Heavyweight Champion ~ Randy Orton

- After the match, Orton takes his titles as Bryan recovers in the Chamber. Orton poses on the ramp as Cole rants about how Bryan got screwed again. We see a lot of sad fans in the crowd. The show goes off the air with Orton celebrating on the ramp.
JPOV: This was the best Chamber PPV out of the five. Besides the Cameron and AJ Lee Match and Darren vs. Titus, this show was off the charts. The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family match was epic that is all that needs to be said. Batista had a solid outing with Del Rio despite a very disrespectful crowd. Loved the chamber match sorry folks Bryan shouldn’t have won the title at the chamber PPV.
