WWE Royal Rumble And Elimination Chamber Numbers Down From 2013

WWE Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber last year featured the main event matches between The Rock and CM Punk for the WWE championship. The numbers released today during the WWE first quarter conference call showed a decrease this year for those two shows.

The Royal Rumble pay-per-view had 467,000 buys, down from 512,000 buys in 2013. The event produced 443,000 buys in 2012, 446,000 buys in 2011, and 462,000 buys in 2010.

The WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view had 183,000 buys, down from 213,000 buys in 2013. The event produced 178,000 buys in 2012, 199,000 buys in 2011, and 285,000 buys in 2010.

This year’s Rumble had the feature match being Randy Orton and John Cena for the WWE world heavyweight championship. The Chamber event had the Elimination Chamber for the WWE heavyweight title with Orton defending against Cena, Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, Christian and Sheamus.
