Leaked WWE Summerslam Video Promo Shows Rumored Main Event

For more than a month now, it has looked like there would be a huge rematch as the main event for WWE Summerslam on August 17.

Actually, looked like wouldn’t be strong enough.  Remember that DVD cover that somehow got released on Amazon.com promoting the main event that show, a clash of epic proportions?  In case you don’t remember, here’s a refresher (spoiler alert!):

Yes, WWE Summerslam is expected to see John Cena defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Brock Lesnar, a rematch from when the two faced off over two years ago at Extreme Rules in 2012.  That was one hell of a battle two with Lesnar busting up Cena early and tossing him around like a rag doll for most of the match before Cena came back and pulled out a victory to the dismay of many.

Well, in case you need further proof that the two will square off against one another at Summerslam, here you go as a video promo for the event has leaked online.

There you have it.  The “Ultimate Battle” between “the biggest superstar of our time” (that would be Mr. Cena) against “the most dominant athlete ever” (that’s you Brock).

Sure, all cards are subject to change but this has been the plan for a while in the WWE with Cena defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Summerslam.  And I have no problem with it either.  I, like many, expect Lesnar to come away with the win too which sets up a ton of different possible scenarios.  Just seeing Brock holding the title on Raw the following night and his advocate Paul Heyman wearing a grin from ear to ear as he cuts an epic humblebrag promo will be more than worth it.

Yes, just to be clear and spoil something else, that means Cena is going to win the Fatal Four-Way at Battleground this Sunday.  But I think we were all expecting that.  Or most of us.

But who knows.  Maybe WWE freaks out with this leaking (and how does this keep happening?) and makes a change.  I sure hope not though.  It doesn’t take away from how awesome the buildup for the match can/should be and the match itself along with the aftermath.
