Alberto Del Rio Fired by WWE

WWE has been making budget cuts lately, recently some talents and other employees.  But on Thursday evening, former champion Alberto Del Rio was fired by WWE.

Here is the official announcement from WWE.com:

WWE announced the release of Alberto Del Rio due to unprofessional conduct and an altercation with an employee.

No other details are available right now as to what exactly happened.  All that is known right now is that the former four-time world champion is no longer with WWE.

Del Rio previously wrestled under the name Dos Caras, Jr. in Japan and Mexico where he was the CMLL World Heavyweight Champion.  He also took part in MMA as well in Japan while wearing a mask, finishing with a record of 9-5 with his last fight in 2010 before giving up the sport to join WWE.

While there, he was a Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank winner and also won both the WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship twice.
