Breaking News: Former WCW Star Sean O’Haire Passes Away

News broke late Tuesday evening that former WCW and WWE star Sean O’Haire had passed away.

Scotty Riggs, another WCW performer, took to Twitter with the announcement.

O’Haire competed in WCW, WWF/WWE, and New Japan Wrestling in the early part of the 2000s. He was a graduate of the famous WCW Power Plant. Along the way, he captured the WCW Tag-Team Championship three times (twice with Mark Jindrak and once with future WWE Tag Champ Chuck Palumbo). He was even named the Wrestling Observer ‘Rookie of the Year’ in 2000.

After wrestling, he broke in to kickboxing, which he later parlayed into an MMA carrer. His professional record was 4-2.

You can read Sean O’Haire’s obituary here. Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family at this time.
