WWE is Recruiting Former German Soccer Star

WWE is always coming the globe looking for new talent and from various professions.  In fact, Triple H said recently in a conference call with the media that the company is in talks with several pro athletes.  We know know who one of them is.

That would be former German goalkeeper Tim Weise who left Hoffenheim in January and has been without a club since then.  But since he’s not in the net, he has turned his attention to bodybuilding because “lifting weights is fun”.  Now, he tells ESPNFC.com that he has an offer on the table from the WWE.

“I have an official enquiry from the WWE. It’s about working for them as a wrestler. I will listen.”
“I don’t s— my pants. Why should I immediately say no? Wrestling is very popular, especially in the States. I will go through the enquiry with my agent next week.”

Well that’s one way to put it.  Since he decided to make a career change, Weise has undergone quite a transformation.  Here’s a picture of him during his playing days with Hoffenheim:

He looks like he has some size but is not overly big.  But check out how he looks now:

Yikes!  Someone has been working out.  I’m not sure where he started at but he has put on so much muscle he now weighs 115 kilograms (253.5 pounds).

The story goes on to say that “Wiese would spend about a year training in Orlando and could then become the lead wrestler in WWE’s plans for Germany, where events are now being broadcast on free-view television for the first time in 12 years”.  I think ‘could’ is the important word there but he would have to catch on amazingly fast for that to happen.

First things first if Wiese decides that he wants to join WWE …  he’ll have to pass a drug test.
