Between the Ropes is growing fast. So, as a part of that continued growth and site evolution, we’re looking to increase our ranks. Are you interested?
Here’s what we need: Additional staff to cover news. Day time, night time, or at your convenience. It doesn’t matter to us as long as you’re reliable, you can write well, you have a nose for good stories, and you’re a team player. We’re not looking for the same “wrestling newz” that you can find on every other wrestling site in the world. We need somebody who can make the standard news cycle interesting. Yes, you’ll cover breaking news, and yes, we even get in on the rumor mill sometimes. But we’re mostly interested in unique stories and crossover news with entertainment. Don’t worry, though – we can get you up to speed with all of that.
Why Between the Ropes? Because we’re a fast-growing site with a huge upside. We want “writers.” This is a place to hone your skills, in a supportive environment, with a large audience and brand recognition. You want access to a loyal fanbase? We’ve got it. Plus, with our new partnership, we’re only going to get bigger.
Responsibilities Include: Writing, mostly. We’re looking to expand into more video content in the coming months, and podcasts are our bread-and-butter, but writing is the most accessible content we provide. And while news and op-eds are always great in our book, we really need somebody who can come in and walk the news beat. Again, solid writing and interesting stories. This includes entertainment with a wrestling slant.
What’s next? Send writing samples to Brian Fritz (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Michael A. Wiseman (email@example.com), tell us a little bit about yourself, and link to any social media or portfolio you deem relevant. We love to see LIVE writing samples on honest-to-goodness websites. And tell us about your experiences a little, or why you love professional wrestling. We’re looking to hire engaging, entertaining people who add to the BTR brand. (You can also use the “Write for BTR” link at the bottom of the page)
