Chris Jericho Teases November Return to WWE

Chris Jericho may not be gone from WWE for much longer. Y2J Tweeted Wednesday evening that he would be returning in November.

Jericho’s announcement was a surprise in and of itself because he’s stated in the past that he likes to keep his comings and goings a secret. That was the case with his shocking return on the June 30 edition of Raw in which he gave the Miz a Code Breaker and then got laid out by the Wyatt family.

Just when in November could we be seeing the Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla? The current leg of Jericho’s tour with Fozzy wraps up on Sunday in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, and doesn’t resume until Thursday, November 20, in Flint Michigan.

So presumably we could see Jericho sooner, but it wouldn’t make sense for him to return before Hell in a Cell on October 26. But a return on the November 3 Raw in Buffalo, New York, would be as good of a time as any to break out the light-up jacket. That is, if Jericho is coming back to TV.

WWE is embarking on a split European Tour November 5-15 (Team Cena vs. Team Ambrose) and given the star-depleted roster, the company may be bringing back Jericho for added star power. In fact, WWE’s website is advertising Jericho for the Ambrose tour November 10-15.

If Jericho’s run includes TV,  his last appearance might be at the SmackDown taping in Knoxville, Tennessee, on November 18. The major issue with a TV return for Jericho — other than poor booking — is that he won’t be available for the Survivor Series. That date (November 23) conflicts with a Fozzy gig in Des Moines, Iowa.

Let’s hope Jericho’s next run is better booked than the last one. Granted, it provided us with some thrills (Jericho jumping off the top of a steel cage) but ended flat (feuding with Randy Orton).
