Uhaa Nation debuts in vignette on NXT

The wait for Uhaa Nation to make his NXT in-ring debut may not be far away.

In a vignette on tonight’s NXT show, Nation made his debut, signing a storyline talent contract with William Regal.

Nation, who impressed on the indie scene, wasn’t referred to by name, just calledĀ “a new NXT superstar,” which is a bit odd. (Get to know him in Brian Fritz’s Sporting News article from last month introducing the new class of NXT trainees.)

Nation explains in the video that he’s come NXT to become a champion. He’s shown shaking hands with Hideo Itami and admiring a poster of Andre the Giant.

“I studied their history,” he says in the video. “Now, it’s time to create my own. Let’s get to work.”

An official debut date isn’t given in the video, which only says “coming soon.” Could we see NationĀ at the next Takeover event on May 20? I wouldn’t rule it out.
