WWE removes Hulk Hogan from website, may be gone from company

It looks like the WWE is separating itself from Hulk Hogan.

Late Thursday night, the WWE removed his profile from the Alumni section of WWE.com and it looks like the company is in the process of removing him from the website completely. In fact, all of his merchandise is now gone from WWEShop.com and he has been removed as a judge on Tough Enough.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that the “Axelmania” gimmick played by Curtis Axel will likely be dropped immediately.

As for what’s going on, Meltzer tweeted this:

WWE has yet to release a statement about why the WWE is frantically distancing themselves from Hogan who also put out this cryptic statement on Twitter:
