Everyone watching Raw on Monday night — as well as Michael Cole and JBL who were broadcasting the show — were wondering where Randy Orton was. Not only was he not on the program but he was absent from the WWE’s tour of Mexico over the weekend.
Earlier today on the Wrestling Observer podcast, Dave Meltzer noted that Orton is dealing with an injured shoulder. The Viper had been working through the pain until last week when he dislocated it. Now, he will be having an MRI to see if it requires surgery or not.

Orton has dealt with shoulder injuries his entire career and this is just the latest. If he needs surgery, he would likely be out until 2016. Regardless, his match for Hell In A Cell where he was set to team with Dean Ambrose against Luke Harper and Braun Strowman is officially off.
This comes at a time when Raw ratings have been at record lows and John Cena is set to take time off and when the WWE could have used a dependable star of Orton’s statute.
